When I first started this painting, I was thinking of a community of bots that existed in a labyrinth like network of machines service ways beneath the surface of a world. This final painting shows a Cinderbot playing with a collection of lab mice while tending a system monitor. There's a few hints in the painting to tie into one of my favorite stories.

I started this one with a sky and hill and the idea that a group of Cinderbots would be watching the sky for something. I spent some time considering what that "something" could be then hit on the idea of daisies.
